Doggy Bag featuring Chicken Osso Buco



The Doggy Bag segment features recipes for refreshing and reinventing take home food.  Here we feature left-over baked chicken thighs and create a chicken Osso Buco.

Left-Over:     Roasted Chicken Thighs

Chicken Osso Buco: an Italian dish made with veal shank containing marrowbone, stewed in wine with vegetables and seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Diced Celery
  • 1 Cup Diced Onions
  • 1 Cup Diced Carrots
  • 1 Cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup White Wine
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • Pinch Of Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Thyme
  • ½ Cup Parsley
  • 2 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock

Preparation:

  1. Sautee Carrots, Celery & Onions
  2. Heat up Chicken, flavor with Salt & Pepper
  3. Add White Wine, Thyme, Parsley & Tomato Sauce
  4. Cover and cook on Medium for 15 to 20 Minutes
  5. Cook Cappellini (5 to 6 minutes)

Place Cappellini in large dish and pour chicken over pasta.
